Also known as the Lighthouse of Punta Ínsua, this building was constructed between 1913 and 1921 with the aim of improving and complementing the maritime signage of the inlet and of the Ria of Corcubión, which until then only had the Corrubedo and Fisterra lighthouses.
Work of the engineer Salvador López Miño, this spacious U-shaped building is made of stone and painted white. The lighthouse tower is 14 metres high and crowned by a lantern that emits a red and white light visible at a distance of 20 miles. The rest of the building served as living quarters for the lighthouse keepers and their families until the end of the eighties. In 2021 it was converted into tourist accommodation. Despite this change in use, the lighthouse continues to conserve its function of signalling and guidance for vessels navigating this coast.
